Re: Sanchez Reservoir Valve Repair and Replacement

Dear Mr. Van Sciver:

On behalf of the Sanchez Ditch and Reservoir Company, Smith Geotechnical is herewith transmitting the
revised feasibility study for the repair and replacement of valves in the Sanchez Reservoir gate tower. The
feasibility study was conducted as part of Sanchez Ditch and Reservoir Company's application to the Colorado
Water Conservation Board to obtain financing for the above referenced project.

The attached report has been prepared in accordance with the Colorado Water Conservation Board Guidelines
for small projects as modified by CWCB personneL

With the submittal of this report, the Sanchez Ditch and Reservoir Company formally requests funding for the
project from the Colorado Water Conservation Board Construction Fund as follows:

1) 100 percent funding of the first $200,000 of the project costs, This $200,000 is the remaining balance of
a 1992 loan granted to Sanchez Ditch and Reservoir Company for repairs to the Sanchez Reservoir Dam.

2) 75 percent funding of an additional $180,000 of the project costs,

The total project cost for the alternative chosen by the Sanchez Ditch and Reservoir Company Board of
Directors is approximately $380,000, Your consideration and approval of this funding will be greatly
appreciated,
