The new
knife gate valves will have slightly better flow characteristics than the wedge gate valves they are
replacing. Discharge capacities of the existing two 48-inch valves and the existing three 30-inch
wedge gate valves will remain unchanged. The net results of all repair and replacement is an
increase in discharge capacity.

In addition to valve repair and replacement, the company intends to remove all non-functional
ladders and walkways and replace them with new ladders, walkways and a fall protection system.
These improvements will facilitate inspection and maintenance of the gate tower.

WATER RIGHTS

The company's decreed water rights and appropriations begin in 1856 and go through 1934 for
a cumulative total of 373.950 cfs.
