which are shown in Table 4.5 (a). The conditional right for 675 acre-feet was

recommended for abandonment by the State Engineer this year. The proposed

enlargement may provide a means to use the conditional right and prevent its

abandonment.

The San Miguel Water Conservancy District does not currently operate any

irrigation or storage facilities. They do own several conditional water rights

associated with the proposed San Miguel Project. An enlargement of Lone Cone

Reservoir by the District could use a portion of the project rights and/or by

agreement, the Lone Cone rights. District owned rights are shown in Table 4.5

(b) .
