The Farmers Extension Ditch Co. will be held Saturday ~~arch <br />3, 1934 at 2:00 PH at the Firehouse in JOhnsto;1n, Colorado for the purpose of el- <br />ecting a Board of Directors for the ensuing year and for the transaction of any <br />other business that may properly come before the Qeeting. <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order by President Glen Anderson. <br />resented in person or by proxy. A quorum was declared. The <br />~e3ting and the financial report were read and. approved. <br /> <br />340.1 shares wewe rep- <br />minutes of the 1933 <br /> <br />Glen Alderson explained the objectives and costs of the ditch lining project. <br />Because of inclement weather work was halted in the Fall but will begin again as <br />soon as possible this Spring. The ASCS Office had some ret\1~ned monies which they <br />then allocated to the Ditch for completion of the project.-$177.503.00 <br /> <br />Estimated cost of Phase V is$355,000.OO. The Assessment will be $302.23 tnth a pay- <br />back of $252.62 per share. <br />Estimated cost on Ehase VI is $383,OOO.OO-AsCS co~witment $177,503.00 with a hoped- <br />for carry-over from Phase V of $19,633.00. <br />Estimated Cost on Phase VII is $ 500,000,00. <br />The cost through Phase VII will be about 1.5 million dollars. <br />The yearly operating assessment will be $49.61. <br />The motion to approve the assessments and the 1934 budget was moved by Mr. McCarty <br />with a second by Albert Stroh. Steve was applauded for his efforts and for keeping expenses under <br />control. A back-up person for the superintendent will be considered. Steve will <br />contact a gentleman who may be mnterested and explain the procedures to hi~. <br /> <br />An office for Highland Lake Ditch and its subsidiaries \-Jill be opened at Sekich <br />Equiptment.. <br /> <br />The City of Lbngmont pays $12.00 per acre ft. and 10% shrink to Highland Lake Lat- <br />eral for water run. <br /> <br />The Board is in the process of insuring the laterals from Hoghland Lake dmm. <br />They are checking with two companios at this time. Also the Colo. Water Conser- <br />vation District is considering an inclusive policy into which all laterals could p~y. <br />They are lool:ing for at least a 1 million dollar liability coverage. <br /> <br />With a motion.nby De.nnis ,See\{ald a.'1d.a second by Herb Hansen 'it:was unanimously"'" <br />moved to reel~ct the current Officers for the coming year.
