';rile .~::" ~:-..:~r_ <br />impoundir.g basin is formed by the construction of an earthen <br />embanlanent having a maximum height of fifty-two feet end a 1 ength <br />of 3,150 feet with inner and outer slope. tvro and one-half to one <br />and a free board of six feet. The inner slope ~f the embankment <br />is entirely covered with rough hand laid rlprap of hard sandstone <br />averaging about twelve inches in thickness. The outlet from the <br />reservoir consists of a 36 inch bell joint cast iron pipe laid <br />in concrete with the usual concrete cutoff Walls, and vertical <br />balance valve at the upper end of the conduit, and a Ludlow yerticfll <br />valve at the lower end of the conduit, which control discharge fr~m <br />the l~e. The <br /> <br />outlet structures seem to have been well built and are apparently <br /> <br />in good condition. <br /> <br /> <br />The spillway from the reservoir is located at the extreme <br /> <br />south end of the dam.end ccnsists cf a channel approximately 200 <br /> <br />feet wide, located about 3 feet below the top of the dam.
