Cech'~ cou-,rer:::ation Has to obtain information <br />cOllcel'nln~ the contents of our files ~~ the c:.bove referenced structures. <br />The Central Color'u.do Hater Ccnscrvancy District is exploring the possibility <br />d:o:werting these two structures to flood control structure 'to provide <br />flo,:.J jJl'()tcct ion to the rroper.ties downstream of thes~ dar:ls along Box Elder <br />Creek. Hr. Cech is preparing a package for submittal to the U.S. Army Corps <br />of Engineers, a packet containing infon~tion on.these two structures and <br />.:1 request that the Corps of Engineers consider becoming involved in the <br />l-'(:hi..i.bilitation of these structures as flood control projects. The cnIy plans we have <br />~vdildLl~ ~l~ plans of the outlet area including the original <br />con~tr'uct ion as .....ell as the extension of the outlet. Recent <br />corl'esponJe:lce and reports on this structure are available in <br />our file::;. <br /> <br />The only r(~fercnce to druinage areas Hhich could be fcund was the: hydrology study <br />on Ireldlld gS. a dam located approximately four to five stream-::liles upstream of <br />l<lug #3 Dam. This hydrology study showed the druinage area at It~eland #5 Dam to <br />be 337.8 square miles indicating that both Bootleg and Klug #3 Dams had signifi- <br />c3nt tributary dr.:liIliigc .:!rc.:ls. <br />
