<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />10 <br /> <br />3.4 Civil Design <br /> <br />Upon completion of the data review, field investigations, labora- <br />tory testing program, and geolog~c evaluat~on, civil deSign will <br />be performed, Civil deSign will include the following key <br /> <br />tasks: <br /> <br />o Preliminary Hydrology and Hydrologic Dam Break Analysis <br />o Hazard Rating Analysis <br />o Alternate Spillway Preli~inary Design <br />o Embankment Stability Analysis <br />o Seepage Analyses <br />o Borrow Material Evaluation <br />o Dam Rehabilitation Preli~inary Design. <br />o Construction Cost Estimate <br /> <br />All the civil design work will be completed according to stan- <br />dards set by the State of Colorado for review of dams. Criteria <br />and methods to be used in our analyses are. taken from a draft <br />copy of the State of Colorado, Design Review Manual prepared .by <br />the Dam Safety Branch of the Office of the State Engipeer. This <br />manual will supersede previous design manuals and contains <br />several major modifications fro~ previous methodology. Since <br />this manual is in a draft form with the latest revision date of <br />May 15, 1985, further modification to the State's criteria and <br />design requirements may affect specific work items on this <br />project. It is expected, however, that the major work tasks will <br />remain significantly as detailed below. <br /> <br />Preliminary HYdrology and Hydrologic Dam Break Analysis--In this <br />portion of the study, the factors affecting the drainage to the <br />dam site will be determined.
