<br />EAGLE REPORT <br /> <br />CHAPTER EIGHT <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATIONS <br /> <br />General <br /> <br />This report has strived to bring attention to all the aspects of the <br /> <br />town of Eagle's water system. Some general recommendations have been men- <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />tioned, cost estimates have been furnished, and four amortization schedules <br /> <br />have been prepared, The next few paragraphs will review the highlights of <br /> <br />the report and make specific recommendations, <br /> <br />Conclusions <br /> <br />With the present rate of growth in the Eagle valley, it is imperative <br /> <br />'- <br /> <br />that the town of Eagle take certain steps to prepare its water system to be <br /> <br />able to supply this growth, This study has shown that the required improve- <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />ments are feasible and can be paid for by revenue generated by the system <br /> <br />and supplemented by sales tax revenues. <br /> <br />Recommendations <br /> <br />After consideration of all the factors present in the town of Eagle's <br /> <br />water system, it is recommended that the following measures be implemented. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />1, Take steps to purchase or trade for an adequate water right to <br />serve the needs of the people of Eagle. It has been shown in <br />Table VI of the report that 0.16 cfs of water is required for <br />every 100 domestic water taps. It has also been shown in the <br />report that the expanded filter capacity of the present plant <br />of 1,380 GPM would require 3,08 cfs of water right. This amount <br />of water right should be the minimum water right the town should <br />consider purchasing at this time, The town should continue the <br />policy of acquiring water rights as they annex more property into <br />the town. <br /> <br />2, Consider the construction of Construction Alternate One Modified, <br />which would involve the replacement of the existing raw water <br />transmission line, rehabilitation of the settling ponds, and the <br /> <br />- 77 - <br /> <br />. <br />
