Chapter 2; Town of Grand Valley <br />This chapter will present a brief history of Grand Valley, <br /> <br />its status as an incorporated community, the State laws under which <br /> <br />it was incorporated, the contracting powers of the town, its finan- <br /> <br />cial status and the various facilities and physical features of the <br /> <br />town, <br /> <br />4. Chapter 3; Land <br />A brief chapter will be included in evaluating the soils <br /> <br />and land conditions in and around the town of Grand Valley, in the <br /> <br />areas which have been or may be proposed for annexation as the town <br /> <br />grows. Since this is for a municipal project, no land classifica- <br />tion concerning the agricultural capabilities of lands will be in- <br />cluded. The maps suggested for this section will utilize the pro- <br />ject map as suggested in Chapter 2 whi~h will show the boundaries <br /> <br />of the town and the areas to be served. <br /> <br />5. Chapter 4; Water <br /> <br />The water requirements of the town will be extensively <br />reviewed. Population projections as developed by the Colorado West <br />Council of Governments and the Garfield County Planning Commission <br />as well as the future water requirements. Additionally this <br />section will review past records for water quantity and quality and <br />show the projections for.water requirements for the future. In- <br />cluded also will be a discussion of water rights and the amount of <br />supply available. <br /> <br />6. Chapter 5; Plan of Development <br />This paragraph will thoroughly investigate the facilities <br />of the town water supply and will demonstrate the neces~ity for <br />.improvements. The report will also show alternate methods of <br />supply and treatment for the town. Based on cost-effective tech- <br />. <br /> <br />niques, the report will present what is considered to be the best <br />
