The construction phase <br />of the project is estimated to be 24 months and the relatively small work force that will <br />be involved in the project will not have any economic or social impact on the immediate <br />area. <br /> <br />Physical impacts of the project as identified in the EIS are: <br /> <br />Inundation of 470 acres of land <br />6.5 acres of wetland impacts that will be mitigated <br />Impacts to Preble's Mouse habitat that will be mitigated <br />Permanent disturbance of approximately 35 acres of land with infrastructure <br />improvements <br /> <br />Conclusions <br /> <br />1. The Parker Water and Sanitation District is Title 32 Special District with the <br />ability to enter into a contract with the CWCB for the purpose of obtaining a <br />Construction Fund loan. <br /> <br />2. The PWSD must obtain a permit from the U.S. Army Corp. of Engineers as <br />well as other State and local permits prior to construction of the <br />improvements. <br /> <br />3. The project allows for better management and extends the life of the finite <br />water supply from the Denver Basin aquifers <br /> <br />4. The total est' a cost of the project is $102.9 million and this will be <br />financed b $82.32 iIIion in loans form CWCB Construction Fund, and by <br />cash reserves 0 the District. <br /> <br />5.
