I
I
I

The values presented in Tables 9-3 through 9-9 represent the water supplies
available for the seven operating scenarios and the resulting subsequent
surpluses or deficits for four recurrence intervals. In all seven
scenarios simulated, no deficit periods of more than 12 months duration
occurred. In addition, the final month of the vast majority of deficit
periods was March, with surpluses following in April. Both of these
factors are the result of the CBT component of Loveland's water supply.
CBT quotas are set each year in April and this quota determines the
availability of CBT water for the following year. As Loveland requests its
CBT water to meet demands the quantity of CBT water available for the
remainder of the year is reduced accordingly. For the 2015-moderate and
-high growth scenarios, Loveland typically exhausts it's CBT units prior to
the annual "renewal" of the quota each April. Thus, the tables are
arranged in terms of a "quota" year, beginning in April and ending in
March. The first row in each table shows the monthly demand for water.
The rows presented under each recurrence interval heading are defined
and/or computed as follows:

I
I
I
I
I
I
I

I
I

City:

Ditch:

CBT:

I
I

I
I
I
I
I

Windy Gap:

Storage:

The monthly water supplies available from the Loveland-owned
direct flow rights.

The monthly water supplies available from the City's
ownership in the Transfer Decree irrigation rights.

The total shares of CBT water available to Loveland at the
beginning of the month (equals the quota set in April
multiplied by Loveland's allotted shares but limited to the
available storage in CBT). This number is reduced each
month by the amount of CBT water diverted by Loveland in the
previous month.

The total shares of WGP water available to Loveland at the
beginning of the month (equals the total storage in Windy Gap
multiplied by Loveland's proportionate share of the project).
This number is also reduced by Loveland's VGP diversions in
the preceding month.

The storage available in Loveland's Green Ridge Glade
reservoir (600 ac-ft capacity) at the beginning of each month
after accounting for evaporation and seepage losses. This
storage will be used for two purposes:

9-4
