<br />Watershed Resources <br /> <br />Agriculture is the major industry of the watershed.. Operating units in <br />the upper portion are primarily combination ranching and nonirrigated <br />wheat operations. The lower lying irrigated land produces sugar beets, <br />corn, beans, and alfalfa. All the range- <br />land is in good to excellent range condition. The vegetative cover <br />includes blue grama, western wheatgrass, sideoats grama, little blue- <br />stem, needle-and-thread, buffalo grass, threeawn and sand dropseed. A <br />few acres of woodland occur in small scattered stands along drainage <br />slopes, in windbreaks and along the river bottoms. The predominant <br /> <br />9 <br />
