/!'

.

.

CWCB NO, 10066

18426 lfeld County Road 15
-Johnstown, CO 80534

Mr. Frank M. Akers
Colorado Water Conservation Board
Department of Natural Resources
State of Colorado
1313 Sherman Street
Denver, Colorado 80203

Dear Mr. Akers:

The Highlandlake Lateral and Farmers Extension Ditch Companies have
reviewed the feasibility report for the rehabilitation of the
Highlandlake Lateral and the Farmers Extension Ditch Companies and
approve this report for the need and feasibility.

f.,!e. do, hO"J1ever, take exception of the financial evaluation on page
60 of this report, as this constitutes two distinct ditch companies
and according to the agreed payment of expenses by both ditch companies,
the Farmers Extension pays 75% of expenses accrued on the Highlandlake
Lateral Ditch and 100% of expenses on the Farmers Extension Ditch.
This includes construction costs of this project,

We also believe that the phased priorities should be changed because
of the economic feasibility of doing phases in a different order,
and excessive seep in some areas needs to be stepped up in priority.

Overall, the feasibility report has been accepted and the Engineering
Company of Taranto, Stanton and Tagge have been paid $8,000.00. We
hereby request the $4,000.00 loan for this project as was agreed upon
by the Colorado Water Conservation Board and the two ditch companies,

Thank you for your cooperation.

">
.
