Most of this land is found on Wrights
Mesa located south of Norwood, Colorado.

The water supply system for the town of Norwood, Colorado
also receives water from the Gurley ditch system and has water
rights on the canal on the order of .25 cfs in addition to
approximately 60 shares of FWDC stock.

Land Description

A complete description of the land currently being
serviced by the FWDC with water from the Gurley Reservoir
system can be found in Section 3.2 of the Lone Cone Report as
referenced earlier in this report. This section is included in
Attachment C.

Land Classification

As all of the lands proposed for irrigation with water
from the repaired Gurley Reservoir system are presently
irrigated rather than new lands, we have not conducted.
detailed land classification study. The U.S. . Bureau of
Reclamation apparently conducted an extensive land
classification survey in the Wrights Mesa area in 1962. The
results of this survey are discussed in detail in Section 3.3
of the Lone Cone Report, referenced earlier. This section is
shown in Attachment C. The service area is shown on Figure 2.
