Table 5.1
6.O Implementation Schedule
To insure a viable reservoir next spring, the rehabilitation of the Cedar Mesa Dam must occur
this fall. The State of Colorado has required the CMDRC to complete rehabilitation of the
structure before any future storage can occur. Since the water will be needed next spring,
CMDRC desires to complete the construction this fall. Given the location of the reservoir, it is
our opinion that construction, which will take approximately one month to complete, will have to
begin by August 16 to insure completion this fall.
Design of the rehabilitation should be complete by July 2001. Review and approval shouid be
complete by August 2001, and construction should start by the fall of 2001. Based on the fast
track nature of this work, we request that the Colorado Water Conservation Boazd (CWCB)
expedite loan contract execution.
7.0 Permitting
Access to the property is across Forest Service land, and access permitting is currently in
progress. Work to be performed will be on land, the use of which was exclusively granted to the
CMDRC and as such will not require permitting. It should also be noted that flow interruption
and/or disturbance to wetlands will not occur as part of this project; therefore, 404 permitting
will not be required.
8.O lnstifutional Considerations
Entities that aze or may be involved in the management, design, construction, and financing of
the project include:
GlwpworkVe00stl035A\CeOarMesaFeasiCiliryReporl.tloc 4 Ju1y200t
