Dear ,Mr. Black:

.. We completed our review of 'your plans and specifications for the slide
',:' repair on Lone Cabin Reservoir' s downstream face . Based on this review and
. "',previous inspection reports. the approval of these plans will not remove the
restriction which originated 'due to an inadequate spillway. ,Until we approve
a hydrology'study. the restriction will still be enforced..

However. in order to approve the plans and specifications for the slide.
the following items need addressing:

1) . A cost estimate and filing fee is required.

2) Specifications must include:

a)

provision that the plans and specifications may not be materially
changed in any particular except with the written consent of the
State. Engineer. '

,b) provision for developing AS-BUILT drawings.

c) provision that construction cannot be considered complete until
the State Bngineer has approved the same in writing.

,3) A Geotechnical Report is required on the borrow material. The report.
'should follow the guidelines on page 25 of the .Design Review Manual."

4) The type of embankment material described in Section 02219. page 6. /
item 2.01.8 and C is vague. Clarify the description. which should be
determined in the Geotechnical Report.
