This includes income from sale of residential, commercial, <br />agricultural, and industrial water inside and outside the city. An additional <br />$0.6 million came from the 197 water taps which were sold. The remaining $1.5 <br />million of revenues were from earnings on investments. <br /> <br />Debt servi ce requi rements for 1987 through 2005 are shown on Tabl ell. 2. The <br />total amount of outstanding bonds is about $22.4 million. With interest, <br />future payments through the year 2005 will total about $36.3 mill ion. Over <br />the next 11 years, the annual debt servi ce requi rement ranges between $2.62 <br />million and $2.67 million. <br /> <br />5.0 FUTURE PROSPECTS <br /> <br />A number of important developments occurred early in 1986 whi ch will have a <br />positive i,mpact upon the area economy in the very near future. <br /> <br />In March of 1986, Monfort of Colorado announced plans to add a second <br />producti on shift requi ri ng 800 new workers and $4 mi 11 ion in new investment. <br />The net effect of the expansion will be to annually add $16 million in direct <br />payroll, $12 million in new retail sales, and $450 million to the region's <br />economy through increased cattle purchases. <br /> <br />Whil e the state economy has experi enced f1 at performance over the past year, <br />Greel ey has experi enced re1 ati vely dynami c growth. The announcement of over <br />1000 new jobs and several nonresidential projects totaling $24 million in the <br />fi rst half of 1986 provi de a bri ght outlook for the future. New on-campus <br />construction and increased enrollment at the University of Northern Colorado <br />have also helped bolster the Greeley economy. <br /> <br />1231 H <br /> <br />-12- <br />
