<br />Chapter V - Evaluation of Alternatives <br /> <br />B. Institutional Considerations <br /> <br />Table V -I shows permits and agreements, which may be required for the construction of <br />this project. These are standard for this type of construction and little difficulty is foreseen in <br />obtaining all required permits due to prior coordination with the agencies during this study. <br /> <br />An Intergovernmental Agreement has been development and approved between the Town <br /> <br /> <br />and County. A copy of the agreement is presented under Appendix F. Under paragraph 5 entitled <br /> <br /> <br />Monument Dam Repair Funding the agreement states "The Parties hereby agree, based upon <br /> <br /> <br />engineering cost estimates and successful competitive bid award, that El Paso County will <br /> <br />pro vide funds totaling Fifty percent (50%) of the "Alternative Bid 1" contract award amount, <br /> <br />not to exceed One Million Dollars ($1,000,000). In the event, the "Alternative Bid 1" bids <br /> <br /> <br />exceed a total of Two Million Dollars ($2,000,000), it will be necessary for El Paso County to <br /> <br /> <br />seek additional appropriation offunds prior to Cmy final commitment to this Agreement and final <br /> <br />contract award. The Town of Monument agrees that it will provide funds totaling Fifty percent <br /> <br />(50%) of the "Alternative Bid 1" contract award amount.
