Chapter V - Evaluation of Alternatives B. Institutional Considerations Table V -I shows permits and agreements, which may be required for the construction of this project. These are standard for this type of construction and little difficulty is foreseen in obtaining all required permits due to prior coordination with the agencies during this study. An Intergovernmental Agreement has been development and approved between the Town and County. A copy of the agreement is presented under Appendix F. Under paragraph 5 entitled Monument Dam Repair Funding the agreement states "The Parties hereby agree, based upon engineering cost estimates and successful competitive bid award, that El Paso County will pro vide funds totaling Fifty percent (50%) of the "Alternative Bid 1" contract award amount, not to exceed One Million Dollars ($1,000,000). In the event, the "Alternative Bid 1" bids exceed a total of Two Million Dollars ($2,000,000), it will be necessary for El Paso County to seek additional appropriation offunds prior to Cmy final commitment to this Agreement and final contract award. The Town of Monument agrees that it will provide funds totaling Fifty percent (50%) of the "Alternative Bid 1" contract award amount. Additionally, the Town of Monument shall be solely responsible for determining what if any further enhancements (dredging) it desires, and hereby agrees to be responsible for any additional contract costs incurred."
