The Certificate of Incorporation and
Bylaws are included in Appendix A. The Company has 13 total
shareholders, and 500 shares of ~tock.

DDC was formed in 1902 for the purpose of purchasing, acquiring,
building, operating and maintain~ng the Durkee Ditch, the
headgate for which is located on Current Creek, in Delta County,
The DDC will sponsor the project to rehabilitate portions of the
Durkee Ditch.

Project Service Area

The service area for the Durkee Pitch is located in Delta County,
approximately 15 miles northeast of the Town of Delta. It
includes approximately 800 acres on the southwest portion of
Redlands Mesa, and an area known as Antelope Hill, all at an
elevation of about 6200 feet, Tpe Durkee Ditch is approximately
6 miles in length, and water is used to produce apples, pears,
alfalfa, corn, and grains. See map on page 2.

Need for the Project

The DDC is undertaking this project in order to more efficiently
deliver water to 13 shareholders on the ditch. The existing
ditch is primarily earth and looGes a significant amount of water
annually to seepage. This seepage has lead to instability of
portion of the ditch where it traverses the steep side hill on
the western edge of the Redlands Mesa. Landslides have closed
the ditch in the past, and the company has already had to install
1500 feet of 36" CMP through the worst area. In addition, the
concrete diversion structures on Currant and Dry Creeks are in
deteriorated condition, and need replacement.
