Description of Project <br /> <br />The loan will be used to rehabilitate the Laramie-Poudre Tunnel. There will be <br />construction of access roads and construction staging areas at both ends of the tunnel. <br />The eastern 5,500 feet of the tunnel will be cleaned and stabilized, a temporary rail <br />installed to facilitate construction and portions of the tunnel will be re-mined to establish <br />sufficient width for construction equipment. Steel pipe liner will be installed along with <br />shotcrete and rock bolts in various repair areas. Existing concrete lined sections will be <br />repaired and stabilized. Approximately 800 cubic yards of rock will be removed from a <br />400-foot section where the collapse occurred, and that portion of tunnel will be <br />rehabilitated. A temporary rail system will be installed from the west portal, and repairs <br />and bracing work will be completed on existing timbered supported sections. Portions <br />of the west tunnel will be re-mined and rehabilitated with steel supports. A trash rack <br />and steel door will be constructed at the east entrance, and the downstream deflection <br />wall will be repaired. <br /> <br />B. Description of Feasibility Study <br /> <br />The feasibility study was completed by John Van Sciver of the CWCB using <br />information provided by the Company and Rocky Mountain Consultants, the <br />Company's engineer. <br /> <br />SECTION 3 - COLLATERAL <br /> <br />Part of the security provided for this loan, as evidenced by the executed Deed of Trust, <br />attached as Appendix 5 and incorporated herein, shall be an undivided one hundred <br />percent (100%) interest in all water and water rights available to the Laramie River <br />System of the Tunnel Water Company, pursuant to the decree in Case No. 5993 <br />entered on September 11, 1944, by the District Court, Larimer County, Colorado, <br />together with an easement for the Laramie-Poudre Tunnel. The Laramie-Poudre Tunnel <br />is located on Forest Service lands within Sections 7, 8, g, and 16, Township 8 North, <br />Range 75 West of the 6th P.M., Larimer County Colorado. <br /> <br />Appendix 1 to Loan Contract C150065 <br />
