The reservoir is located in Sections 14, 15,
21, 22, 23, and 27, Township 5 North, Range 60 West of the 6th Prime Meridian,
Access to the project site is via State Highway 144 to Morgan County Roads 5 and 3.5.

The nearest town is Goodrich, Colorado located approximately two miles south
of the dam. The nearest city is Fort Morgan, Colorado located approximately 17 miles
east of the site. The elevation of the site is approximately 4440 feet (USGS). The
reservoir is situated at the north edge of the South Platte River alluvium. As the
extensive dike length and low height would indicate, the topography in the vicinity of
the dam and reservoir is very flat.

The reservoir is off-channel, filled through the inlet canal diverting water from
the South Platte River. Water is diverted to Jackson lake Reservoir from the South
Platte River via the Jackson Lake Reservoir Inlet Canal. The headgate is located
approximately 10 miles southwest of Jackson Lake Reservoir and 27 miles west of Fort
Morgan, in the southeast quarter of Section 18, Township 4 North, Range 61 West of
the 6th Prime Meridian. Water released from Jackson Lake Reservoir is delivered to the
South Platte River through the Jackson Outlet Canal. The reservoir releases flow into
the South Platte River at a point located approximately two miles south of the dam and
16Y, miles west-northwest of Fort Morgan, in the northeast quarter of Section 3,
Township 4 North, Range 60 West of the 6th Prime Meridian.

The service area map is shown on Figure 1. This map shows the project
location, nearby towns, and the general land area served by Jackson lake Reservoir and
Irrigation Company. The area served by this project is shown shaded and includes over
100,000 acres. Within the area shown, it is estimated that approximately 17,000 acres
of land are irrigated directly with, or by exchange of, Jackson Lake Reservoir water.
The service area shown is served by seven irrigation companies that own stock in
Jackson Lake Reservoir.

8
