CWCB Mr. Clifford Reid Deweese-Dye Ditch and Reservoir Company 1714 Poplar Canon City, CO 81212 RE: Small Dam Site Planning Funds Dear Mr. Reid: Enclosed is a purchase order in the amount of $5,000.00 issued to the DeWeese-Dye Ditch and Reservoir Company under the Colorado Water Conservation Board's Small Dam Site Reconnaissance Program. The purchase order is for engineering services to be provided to the Company by GEl Consultants, Inc. per the "Proposal for Engineering Services for Field Investigations at DeWeese Dam, near Westcliff, Colorado" dated December 22, 1995. Under the guidelines established for the CWCB Small Dam Site Reconnaissance Program, you may invoice us for one half of the cost of the study up to the amount of the purchase order. When the study is completed, please ask your consultant to send us a copy of the draft report so that we may review it and advise you of any comments we may have. Upon review and acceptance of the report by the Company and the CWCB staff, please send us an invoice on Company letterhead referencing our purchase order number and the work which was done by GEl along with copies of the consultant's invoices and the final study report. These items may be sent to my attention. It is my understanding that, after completion of these field investigations, the Company may want to have a feasibility study prepared to investigate various repair options for DeWeese Dam. If the Company is considering initiating design and construction for the repair work in 1997, the feasibility study must be submitted to the CWCB staff no later than August 3 L 1996 in order to be considered for a Construction Fund loan in 1997. It is also important that the feasibility study be prepared in accordance with the Guidelines for Financial Assistance through the Colorado Water Conservation Board Construction Fund, a copy of which is enclosed.
