<br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Sp~cial Meeting of the Board of Directors <br />of the Grand View Irr. Co. <br /> <br />Jan. 10. 1987. <br /> <br />The Board met at the home of the President, Mannie A. <br />Colon Jr. at 8 p. m, Those present were Mannie A. Colon Jr., <br />Nard Robinette and Edwin Hall. <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order by the Fresident, <br />who said the meeting was called for the purpose of preparing <br />for the Annual Meeting of the Stockholders, which is tomorrow, <br />January 11, 1987. <br /> <br />Phase I of the rebuilding of the syphon has been com- <br />pleted, accepted and approved. The Ditch Comp~~y received from <br />USDA $105,207.37. <br /> <br />Peables Hauling Co. of Colorado Springs, Colo., has <br />been awarded the contract for Phase II of the rebuilding in <br />the amount of $166,000.00. <br /> <br />The outstanding accounts receivable for the piping of the <br />North Extension still remains unsettled and was discussed. <br /> <br />The incoming Board of Directors for 1987 needs to consid- <br />er patching the main concrete ditch on the ~.lacKenzie property <br />and continue to fight the willows. In addition,consider the <br />feasibility of increasing the carrying capacity of the main canal <br />discharging at the east end of the syphon by lowering the ditch <br />bottom or place concrete side. boards easterly as far as necessary. <br /> <br />The repair of the headgate on the north extension by the <br />syphon has been complet@ an~he new bulkhead gate on the spillway <br />will be installed by January 31st. <br /> <br />A motion should be made to continue the ratification <br />of the President's authority to sign all necessary documents <br />for Phase II of the syphon project. Mr. Hall made a motion <br />to reaffirm the authority of Nr. Colon to enter into Phase II <br />of the contracting as per the Minutes of The Special Meeting <br />held December 14, 1985.
