<br /> <br />Water Rights - Legal <br /> <br />John Carlson <br />Holland and Hart <br />555 17th Street, 'Suite 2900 <br />Denver, CO 80201 <br />303~575-8116 <br /> <br />The Contractor may not obtain the services of firms other than <br />those listed above for the subject matter areas set forth unless' <br />advance approval is given in writing by the State. <br /> <br />13. ,The Contractor shall not commence work under this contact <br />until it shall have obtained all insuranoe required under this <br />paragraph and such insurance shall have been approved by the <br />State, nor shall the Contraotor allow any subcontractor to' <br />commence work on its subcontract until all insurance required of <br />the subcontractor shall have been so obtained and approved. The <br />minimum insurance required hereunder shall include, <br /> <br />A. Workers' Compensatio~ Insurance: The Contractor and <br />each subcontractor or consultant shall comply with the <br />Workmen's Compensation Act of Colorado (Articles 40 through <br />54, Title 8, CRS, 1973) if applicable.' <br /> <br />B. Liability Insurance - The Contractor shall maintain in' <br />effect, to the extent that such insurance is available at <br />reasonable cost, employer's liability, professional <br />liability, comprehensive general liability (bodily injury <br />and property damage), and comprehensive automobile liability <br />(bodily injury and property damage) insurance with respect <br />to employees and vehicles of the Contractor assigned to the <br />prosecution of work under this contract in a maximum amount <br />not less than $500,000 for each occurrence. The Contractor <br />will, supply to the State a certificate of each such <br />insurance and subsequent renewals each of which must contain <br />the following provisions (to provide the indicated <br />protection to the State): <br /> <br />The State of COlorado, acting by and 'through <br />the Colorado Water Conservation Board <br />(hereinafter .,the Staten), is a named insured <br />for all coverages (including automobile) <br />provided by this policy of general <br />comprehensive insurance and shall be fully <br />and completely protected to the extent <br />provided in said policy for any and every <br />injury, death, damage and loss of any sort <br />sustained by any person, organization or <br />corporation in connection with any activity <br />performed by the Contractor (except for <br />professional liability) by virtue Of the <br />provisions of that contract between the State <br />and Dames & Moore, for professional services, <br />for the feasibility stUdy of the Hardin Dam <br />dated December 1, 1981. The ooverages <br />provided by this policy to the State or any <br />other named insured shall not be terminated, <br />reduced or otherwise changed in any respect <br />without providing at least thirty (30) days <br />prior written notice to the State. <br /> <br />14. This contract shall automatically terminate on March 1, <br />'1983, unless extended in writing by mutual agreement of the <br />parties hereto.
