Board approval of engineering firm and engineerIng <br />agreement between engineering fIrm dnd project sponsor. <br /> <br />2. PreparatIon of detailed plans and specifications for <br />authorized projects by consulting engineering firm. <br /> <br />). Approval of detaIled plans dnd specifIcations by Board <br />staff (plans and specifIcations for storage dams dnd <br />reservoirs must also be approved by State Engineer's <br />office). <br /> <br />4. BUdrd staff apProval of bIdding for the project. Board <br />staff present qt bId opening for construction. <br /> <br />5. Project sponso~ may issue the notice of award and the <br />notice to proC~ed with construction to the cont'ractor <br />(both notices ~ust be approved by the Board staff before <br />they are lssueq). <br /> <br />6. Conduct a pre-~onstruction conference. Approval of <br />construction sQhedule by Board staff. <br /> <br />7. Construction COmmences. The Board staff makes periodic <br />inspections dU~ing construction. Aii change orders must <br />be approved by the Board staff in advance and before any <br />construction on change items can commence. Emergency <br />items cleared ~y telephone. <br /> <br />8. The consulting engineer certifies that the project has <br />been completed according to approved drawings and <br />specifications and arranges for final inspection. <br /> <br />9. FInal inspecti4n and acceptance of as-built project by <br />Board staff. <br /> <br />10. Submittal of a~-built drawings to Board staff ~or <br />approval and f~llng. <br />
