Box 1046 <br />Basalt, Colorado 81621 <br /> <br />RE: Feasibility Report on Water System <br />Improvements for Colorado Water <br />Conservation Board <br /> <br />Gentlemen: <br /> <br />: <br /> <br />Submitted attached is our Feasibility Report, Water System Improvements, <br />for the Town of Basalt, Eagle COunty, Colorado and the Colorado Water <br />Conservation Board. This report details the history of water use in <br />Basalt, evaluates the present water system, explains the necessity <br />for improvement, proposes the cOnstruction and repair projects which <br />will achieve this improvement, and shows that it Is financially <br />feasible for the Town of Basalt to undertake this project with certain <br />assistance. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />The estimated cost of the total project is $1,212,806. The Town of <br />Basalt Is prepared to contribut~ $200,000. This amount is to be <br />matched by a proposed FHA grant, and a proposed Four Corners Region <br />grant will provide $120,000. A 40-year loan at 5 percent by the <br />FHA will provide $90,000.
