In order to do this, <br />they would build a temporary sand da~ across the channel to <br />dewater this site. The main body of the river would still <br />he allowed to flow. To repair the s~ructures, they would <br />drive sheet piling along the upstrea~ and downstream faceS <br />of them. This would then be capped ~ith concrete, and, tied <br />into the $tructure.
