Many elements enter into determining the fire flow required: for a given <br />fire area such as: (a) type of building construction; (b) floor area and number <br />of stories of buildings in the fire area; (c) type of occupancy of building; <br />and (d) exposure distance to adjacent buildings. The fire flow requirements <br />listed above are considered adequate for average conditions existing in Swink <br />at this time. Large buildings and/or special occupancy buildings should <br />consider fire-resistant construction materials, automatic sprinkler systems, <br />and on-site storage tanks to reduce their fire flow requirements and fire <br />insurance rates. <br /> <br />Using the above criteria for projecting water requirements for consumption <br />and fire demand, in combination with the population projections established <br />in Chapter III, the water production requirements in 5 year increments are. ,: <br />extended through the year 2020 and tabulated in Table 3. <br /> <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />-7- <br />
