<br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Two small industries are located in Swink; Simplot Company and Valley Metals, I~c. <br />with employment listed at 5 and 7 respectively. Like most rural towns in the <br />area, the predominate structure in town is the grain elevator company's storage <br />bins. <br /> <br />II <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />The Town owns and operates its own water system, sewer system, solid waste <br />collection system and maintains its own street network. Fire protection is <br />provided by the La Junta Rural Fire District consisting of 6 paid men, 24 <br />volunteers, and one administrator.
