Project Map. The project map is included in Appendix A. This <br />map shows the North Poudre system including the proposed project, <br />nearby towns, and the general land area served by North Poudre. <br />The area served by this particular project is shown shaded and <br />includes approximately 3,400 acres of land. <br /> <br />B. Location. The project is located in Section 19 and 30, <br />Township 9 North, Range 68 West and in Sections 24 and 25, <br />Township 9 North, Range 69 West of the 6th P.M., Larimer County, <br />Colorado. Access to the project site is via County Road 15 and to <br />County Road 64 or via I-25 to highway 1 to County Road 9 and then <br />Count Road 64. <br /> <br />The nearest town is Wellington located approximately 2 miles <br />to the east. The nearest city is Fort Collins located approxi- <br />mately 7 miles south of the site. <br /> <br />The elevation of the site is <br />Refer to the Drainage Basin Map <br />and elevations. <br /> <br />approximately 5230 feet (USGS). <br />in Appendix F for site location <br /> <br />C. Climate. The fOllowing tables show the average monthly <br />temperatures, maximum and minimum temperatures of record, average <br />monthly precipitation, snowfall, information on hail, and various <br />other statistics concerning the weather near the project site. <br />Tables I-1 and I-2 were supplied by the Colorado Climate Center, <br />Colorado State University, Department of Atmospheric Sciences, <br />Fort Collins, Colorado, 303-491-8545. The information provided is <br />from their weather substation No.4 which is near Fort Collins and <br />is the closest station to Reservoir No.2. The information for <br />Table I-3 is from the Soil Conservation Service Soil Survey of <br />Larimer County, Colorado. <br /> <br />I-1 <br />
