WOOdward-CIY.

.

"rapid drawdown"; however, this is not clear based on the surface features. We
recommend excavating 1 to 2 test pits through the cracking to map the "direction" of the
slide surface, The test pits would be excavated about 5 to 7 feet deep and then refilled
with compacted material.

Scope Option 4 - Spillwav Conceptual D~si~

We understand that the existing spillway is undersized when compared with current
spillway requirements, Our work scope for this item would consist of performing
hydrologic and hydraulic analyses for the Brush Hollow drainage area. Our hydrologic
analyses would include rainfall, runoff, and flood routing estimates for the required
design storm event. We would also perform hydraulic analyses of the existing spillway
and spillway enlargement alternatives to develop up to three conceptual designs and cost
estimates for enlargement of the spillway. We would also evaluate the quantities of
material that may be available from spillway enlargement that could be used to repair
the dam.

Scope Option 5 - Embankment Raise

We understand that sediment in the reservoir may have reduced the available storage
by 3 to 4 feet. You have requested that we include an estimate to evaluate increasing
the height of the dam by up to 4 feet to compensate for the lost storage, For this
option, we would develop a repair configuration for a raised embankment and estimate
the increased quantities and costs for the raise.

Scope Option 6 - Outlet Works Inspecti<ID

We understand that the Water Company is considering a camera inspection of the outlet
works, since the reservoir is nearly dewatered. Our Scope of Work for Option 6 would
be to perform a video inspection of the outlet and document the inspection on a video
tape. We would also complete a review of the condition of the outlet pipe and
document the results of our review in a letter report. The pipe condition review would
be completed by our outlet works specialist, Mr. Sal Todaro.
