.

.

Page 6

. Memo describing methods and assumptions used in creating the files; the memo
is expected to be 3 to 5 pages in length

Task 8 - Continue State mod model assembly and calibration

If budget remains after Tasks 7 and 8 have been completed, Boyle will continue the
process of assembling input files for the new Yampa River model, and begin calibration.
Boyle and the State will determine jointly which tasks should be pursued. They may be
a subset of the following list:

. collect physical and operational data for High Savery Reservoir, and historical
content data if the reservoir began filling during the study period;1 produce new
'.res and '.rer files with the new information.

. Produce '.tar and *.eom files that include High Savery Reservoir.

. Review evaporation data from Wyoming to determine whether a station should
be added to the '.eva file to represent evaporation at High Savery Reservoir;
produce new '.eva file if appropriate.

. Review approximately fifteen instream flow filings in the headwaters of the Little
Snake River to determine whether they need to be included in the model. If
needed, generate new '.its, 'ifr, and '.ita files.

. Collect interstate priority list and develop appropriate priority numbers for
Wyoming structures consistent with Colorado's Holt numbers. Construction of the
number must consider CDSS data-filling techniques.

. Determine priority numbers for aggregated Wyoming structures.

. Develop return flow locations for all new structures included in the model, and
create a new '.rtn file.

. Add operating rules for High Savery Dam to the operating criteria file.

. assemble .stm files as required to build historical diversion and demand files for
irrigation structures; the process may involve combining information from multiple
structures to create demands for aggregated structures

. compare Cheyenne data in current Yampa basin model to data in the Green
River basin plan and resolve discrepancies if possible

. Generate diversion station ('.dds), diversion right (.ddr), historical
diversion('.ddh}, and demand ('.ddm) files.

. Generate control and response files.

Exhibits_new

3/5/2003
