<br />'.' <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />- <br /> <br />.. <br /> <br />. . <br /> <br />- ' <br />, <br /> <br />, <br /> <br />. . <br /> <br />SAN LUIS VALLEY WATER CONSERVANCY DISTRICT <br />BOARD MEETING <br />March 29, 1988 <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order by secretary Russell Pratt at 7:30 p.m. in the offices <br />of the district.. <br /> <br />Those present were Angelo Curto, Bob Myers, Keith Holland, Athie Daniels, Sid Klecker, <br />Atty George Woodard, Mac McFadden, and Manager Floyd Getz. <br /> <br />The min~tes of the December 8th meeting were read and approved. The financial report <br />including the final 4th quarter report of 1987 and the January and February income <br />and expense report were presented and on a motion by Bob Myers, seconded by Athie Daniels <br />were approved. <br /> <br />Russell Pratt announced the purpose of the meeting was a hearing of inclusion of lands <br />in Hinsdale County. Atty George Woodard read the resolution to include the W~ of the <br />N~~SE~ Section 36, T. 41 N.. R. 5 W., N.M.P.M. into the district. Nobody appeared <br />to speak to the inclusion and on a motion by Sid Klecker, seconded by Keith Holland, <br />the resolution was passed. <br /> <br />The manager reported Ed Dump of the DOW had been in and stated the State was going <br />ahead with their satellite monitoring system on the the water diversion on the head <br />of Pine River. As soon as their special use permit has been approved by the U.S. Forest <br />Service, he felt the district should make their application for installation of a cable <br />from our gaging station to theirs. He also felt that he had the necessary equipment <br />to hook our clock onto the monitoring system. On a motion by Sid Klecker, seconded <br />by Angelo Curto, the manager was instructed to work with the Division of Wildlife on <br />this project. <br /> <br />The manager reporced the CWCB approved the expenditure of $71,000 on completion of <br />the water supply study with this district board contributing $2,000 toward the study. <br />The study is to be completed within 3 - 4 months. On a motion by Angelo Curto, seconded <br />by Athie Daniels, the board approved the $2,000 expenditure. <br /> <br />Mac McFadden reported on the Pinos' Creek. ile is getting the ma terial together to make <br />a determination of the amount of augmentation water needed in the future and will get <br />with the State people and hopefully have this completed by n~xt meeting. <br /> <br />Discussion was held on the sales of augmentation water. And on a motion by Sid Klecker, <br />seconded by Bob Myers the board authorized the sale of augmentation water in blocks <br />of ~ acre feet or more at the rate of $6,000 per acre foot. <br /> <br />Bob Myers, Acie Gunnels and the manager and maybe Keith Holland will attend the compact <br />meeting. The board directed the manager to write a letter to the commissioners inviting <br />them to send a representative to a meeting to discuss the possibility of a joint <br />project of building a reservoir on the upper Rio Grande. <br /> <br />The board agreed to donate a satellite imagery map to the Bank of Monte Vista. <br /> <br />No further business coming before the meeting, the meeting was adjourned at 9:30 p.m. <br /> <br />Respectfully submitted, <br /> <br />Russell Pratt, Secretary <br />
