Make field investigation of the study area to assess <br />hydrologic features, vegetation types, and to field <br />check the location of pertinent existing ditches and <br />reservoirs. <br /> <br />5. Using the diversion data compiled in Task 1 and general <br />irrigation information received from the irrigators in <br /> <br />the area, estimate probable return flows and return <br /> <br />flow locations within the system. <br /> <br />6. Apply the results of the previous step to the historic <br />streamflow records compiled in Task 1 and estimate <br /> <br />virgin flows for the period of records at gaging <br /> <br />stations. <br /> <br />7. Correlate the estimated virgin flow records from Step 6 <br />at gaging stations having partial records during the <br />study period with stations having complete records for <br />_the study period. Extend the partial records to obtain <br />full records of estimated virgin flows at selected <br /> <br />gaging stations for the study period. <br /> <br />8. Establish system node points defining stream sectors <br /> <br />for use in the simulation model to be operated in Task <br /> <br />7.
