<br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />, I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />Chiles ProDertv Acquisition <br /> <br />In 1996, CD OW commissioned two appraisals for the selected site; one for the land, <br />existing structures, and surface water rights by Darwin Asper and the other for the wells <br />in the confined aquifer by Helton & Williamsen. The combined results of the two <br />appraisals, adjusted for an apparent overlap in the values of existing structures, resulted in <br />an estimated value for the entire property of$I,048,050. <br /> <br />In September of 1997, the CD OW signed an option contract with Floyd Chiles for <br />acquisition of the property at a price of$I,IO million. CDOW closed on the property on <br />June 20, 1998. <br /> <br />1998-99 Facility Desilro <br /> <br />In February 1998, the firm of FishPro was selected as the design consultant for the <br />NASRF in a competitive selection process and in June 1998 CD OW contracted with <br />FishPro for the final design of a facility somewhat different than that proposed in the <br />1996 conceptual design report. The design work was substantially compll;lted in <br />May 1999. The final design is for a facility with an estimated cost of about $5.25 million, <br />The next section of this report describes the selected alternative in some detail. <br /> <br />il <br /> <br />2-5 <br />
