It can be seen from the above figures that consumption for the outside users

has increased substantially (+57%) over the past 5 years while Canon City's

has actually decreased. This is somewhat in accord with the past growth

patterns of the two areas.

1971 Water Usage.

As 1971 is the last year complete water statistics are available, it will be
used as a basis of obtaining various usage figures; The following table

shows the water treatment plant production by month for 1971.

The above table reflects the seasonal variation in water usage. For example,

the usage in December was one-fourth of the usage in the peak month of June.

Daily plant production records indicate a maximum day usage on June 30, 1971

of 8.27 mg. The average day usage in the peak month of June was 6.18 mgd.

This results in a ratio of 1.34 between the maximum day and the average day

of the peak month.
