Pump <br />in background is pumping water to lands northeast of Sunbeam. <br /> <br />Because of the smaller irrigation service area, the irrigation diversion <br />requirements at the head of Deadman Bench Canal would be smaller under <br />the initial development than under the comprehensive plan and the water <br />supply available for power production would be larger. Thus the Juniper <br />Reservoir operation would be somewhat different under the initial stage <br />than with the comprehensive development. <br /> <br />Irrigation requirements <br /> <br />Requirements for irrigation diversions and for peak canal capacities <br />were estimated for the initial development in the same manner as discussed <br />for the comprehensive plan in Chapter II.
