The District collects water assessments from each irrigated acre or each
residential lot if less than one acre in size, Water assessments are collected
by the County Treasurer as stipulated by the governing State Statutes, The
Board of Directors sets the assessed value for the lands and lots within the
District. Assessments are collected on different land classifications, The
Board of OMID has set the following assessments for 1996:

a. Fruitland: $42,60 per irrigated acre,
b. Good cropland: $36,21 per irrigated acre,
c, Fair cropland: $25.56 per irrigated acre.
d. Poor cropland: $25.56 per irrigated acre.
e. Small tracts (1-5 acres), subdivisions, commercial: $53.25 per
acre or per lot.

Total revenues from this source were $529,329 in 1995 and $526,853 in 1994
(see Appendix D).

Public Service Company Payments, The other source of revenue is collected
from Public Service Company for a millage on power generation at the
Palisade Hydro Plant that is adjacent to the OMID pump station, The power
plant is owned by the USA and operated under contract by Public Service
Company. OMID is obligated by contract to deliver 310-400 cfs of water
that belongs to the USA to the Palisade Hydro. During the non-irrigation
season, 800 cfs is delivered to the Palisade Hydro Plant. Some of the funds
received form the power plant are used for O&M of the power canal and
other OMID facilities,

Total revenues from Public Service were $85,778 in 1995 and $114,127 in
1994 (see Appendix D),

Expenditures and Annual Expenditure Summary,

OMID expenditures consist of operational and maintenance expenses and debt
service (see Appendix D).

Total expenditures for 1995 were $632,994, of which $525,794 were
operational and maintenance expenses, and $107,200 were debt service. Total
expenditures for 1994 were $645,428, of which $538,228 were operational and
maintenance expenses, and $107,200 were debt service.
