PARADOX VALLEY
CANAL AND RESERVOIR COMPANY
BEDROCK. COLORADO 81411

June 3, 1981

.

Lloyd K. Hazzard
Senior Wildlife Biologist
Department of Natural Resources
Division of Wildlife
6060 Broadway
Denver, Colorado 80216

Dear Mr. Hazzard:

In correspondence with your office on December 9, 1980 and a re-
sponse on January 16, 1981 we were of the opinion that the Division
of Wildlife would pursue the purchase of a conservation pool in the
Buckeye Reservoir. Our irrigation company is under a very tight
schedule to secure funds for the construction of the proposed re-
habilitation of the Buckeye Darn and the construction. Therefore; we
have eliminated any proposal of constructing a conservation pool in
the Buckeye Reservoir due to our scheduling.

Enclosed with this letter please find a copy of our Feasibility Re-
port prepared by our Engineer in which one of the alternates con-
sidered was the construction of the conservation pool but not the
alternate recommended for construction.

Please review the Feasibility Report and should you have any comments
please forward them to either ourselves or our Engineer.

.

A::lY A' ,

Bruce Phippeny,
President

BP/sh
