Exhibit A at the end of this report. This Exhibit also
gated and non-irrigated lands.

Service Area

Exhibit B, at the end of this report shows the Service Area of the Paradox Val-
ley Canal and Reservoir Company. Exhibit B shows all of the land owners and
acreRge under irrigation from the Paradox Valley Canal and Reservoir system.

Land Use

The present land use for the irrigated areas in the Paradox Valley area is for
the production of small graIns, corn, and alfalfa. The location and acreages of
each particular type of crop is not shown on any exhibit as the crops are rotated
to eliminate, as mucl~ as possible, nematodes, other undesirable pests, and deple-
tion of minerals in the soil.

The following table shows a realistic approximation of the acreages and the type
of crop or groups of crops grown on each acreage.

Land Ownership

No attempt has been made to tabulate the public land within the Paradox Valley
but the land that is under the management of the Bureau of Land Management is
shown on Exhibit B at the end of this report. Exhibit B also shows the acreages
and location of private lands in the Paradox Valley. Table V gives a tabu-
lation of the private ownership and acreages.
