<br />3, If this contraCl involvc~ the payment of more than ten thousand dollars for the construction, crco(.tion, repair,
<br />maimcmlRcc, or improvement of any building, road, bridge, viaduct, tunnel, excavation or other public work for this
<br />State, the contraclor shall, before entering upon lhe pcrfonnance of any sucb wurk included in this cOnlraL'l, duly
<br />execute and deliver to and file with the official whose signature appears below for the State, a good and sufficient
<br />bond or other acccptable surety to be approved by said official in a penal sum not less than one-half of the total
<br />amount payable by the terms of this contract. Such bond shall be duly executed by a qualified corporate surety,
<br />conditioned for the due <Ind faithful perfonnance of the contract, and in addition, shall provide that if the l:OJllraetor or
<br />his subconlractors fail to duly pay for any labor, malerials, team hire, sustenance, provisions, provender or other
<br />supplies used or consumcd by SIKh contractor ur his subcontractor in pefonnaflce of the work l;ontracted to Ix: done,
<br />the surety will pay the same in ~n amount not ellceeding the sum specified in the bond, together with inleresl at the
