Job Type, Size, Purpose and Program <br />a. The purpose of the job is rehabilitation of the Decker Lateral <br />of Larimer Weld Ditch System. This WC-4 job will incorporate <br />, NRCS practice codes 428- concrete lined canal, 587- water <br />control structures, and possibly 430- buried pipeline. <br />b. The canal lining (428) will reach approximately 7900 lin ft. It <br />will involve the renovation or rebuilding of 5 control <br />structures in conjunction with the installation of 8 turnouts <br />(587), and the removal of 8 to 10 existing structures. It is <br />possible to install approximately 2200 lin ft of buried pipeline <br />(430) in lieu of canal lining. <br />c. The overall cost of the installation has been estimated to be <br />$140,000 by a contractor. This is seems to be a reasonable <br />estimate in comparison to other projects with similar scope and <br />complexity which have been done in this district in the recent <br />past. <br />d. The project is proposed to be completed under the FSA's ACP <br />program. <br />e. The canal flow is affected beyond the apportioned delivery by <br />slight surcharge from the Eaton delivery ditch and minor off- <br />site areas. <br /> <br />2. Location: <br />a. Legal description: SW 9-, W2 16-6N-64W. <br />b. Location to nearest community: 2 1/2 miles SE of Galeton, CO. <br />c. Approximate elevation: 4825 ft above Mean Sea Level. <br />d. Accessibility: There is good accessibility from 3 county roads. <br /> <br />3. Cooperators: <br />a. Name and type of organization: This project is proposed by 16 <br />shareholders of the Decker Lateral, a part of the Larimer-Weld <br />ditch delivery system. <br />
