<br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />and approximately 2,250 feet of distribution system pipeline to serve <br />the proposed Arlberg Club property development. <br /> <br />LOWER SYSTEM <br /> <br />The proposed Lower System project at full development includes a diver- <br /> <br /> <br />sion structure on the Fraser River; 300-gpm raw water pumping and water <br /> <br /> <br />treatment facil ities; approximately 30,000 lineal feet of 6-inch, 8-inch, <br /> <br /> <br />10-inch, and 12-inch ductile-iron pipe; approximately 40 fire hydrants; <br /> <br /> <br />and two, 300,OOO-gallon storage tanks. <br /> <br />The proposed initial phase of the project will consist of the diversion <br />structure; 200-gpm raw water pumping and water..treatment faci 1 ities; <br />approximately 20,635 lineal feet of 6-inch, 8-inch, lO-inch, and 12-inch <br />ductile-iron pipe; approximately 16 fire hydrants; and two, 300,OOO~gallon <br />storage tanks. The proposed initial system will provide service to all <br />presently-developed property in the Lower System service area. The <br />estimated cost of the initial-phase project is $1,293,707 (1976) and <br />$1,500,000 for an estimated 1978 construction schedule. <br /> <br />The Lower System project featureS are discussed in greater detail in <br />Chapter V, "PLAN OF DEVELOPMENT". The major features of the plan are <br />illustrated on Figure 1-1 in the back of this report. <br /> <br />EXISTING AND ESTIMATED FUTURE DEVELOPMENT <br /> <br />Present development in the District includes a 58-unit motel with restaur- <br />ant/bar, lodges with a capacity of approximately 90 persons, two or three <br />restaurant/bars, post office, 14 apartment/condominium units, approximately <br />27 single-family homes, Denver Water Board maintenance facilities, and the <br />Winter Park/Mary Jane ski areas. <br /> <br />Additional development in the District is directly dependent on the availa- <br />bility of a water system and the enlargement of waste treatment facilities. <br />Based on preliminary development plans and discussions with District <br /> <br />x <br />
