A "unit" is one dwelling unit or
residence (single, duplex, or multi-family) or two overnight accomodations,
or two employee housing rooms. The population figures shown are based on
100 percent occupancy. As a dominant characteristic of resort areas,
actual occupancy fluctuates on a seasonal basis. Full occupancy occurs
during the peak ski season, which is usually over the New Year's Holiday,
and nearly full occupancy occurs during the mid-summer.
During the "off" seasons, occurring in late Spring and late Fall, occupancy
in some areas will drop to less than 50 percent of full occupancy. These
variations must be taken into consideration when determining annual or
monthly water demand and consumption.

E. WATER REQUIREMENTS

1. lzEes of Usa~
As previously discussed, types of water uses in the Blue River Water
District are very limited as dictated by the area served and the lack of
commercial and other day uses. The types of demands for treated water
that have been identified are as follows:
- domestic (in-house consumption)
- lawn irrigation (primarily limited to the Warrior's Mark area)
- recreation lawn irrigation (Warrior's Mark)
- water line bleeding (to prevent freezing)
- fire protection (limited)

11-9
