It
is a natural lake, which has a high water line area of approximately 35 acres. Over many
years, Hill Lake has retained silt that has lowered its capacity to hold water. We must
increase the capacity to protect its decreed river right of 13 5 acre feet of water.

Project Sponsor

Shultz Farm Inc. is a family owned Colorado corporation. The Shultz family has farmed
in this area for over 100 years and has owned farm land in Colorado for nearly 100 years.

Project Service Area & Facilities

Hill Lake services a 10 tower, Valley sprinkler, which covers approximately 200 acres.

Water Rights

The source of water for Hill Lake is the St. Vrain River through the Highland and
Farmers Extension Ditch systems. Hill Lake has a decreed fill fight of 135 acre feet from
the St. Vrain River. We also have access to direct run river water from the St. Vrain
River. Also owned by Shultz Farm is 13 shares of Highland Ditch water, 16 shares of
New Ish Reservoir, 100 units CBT.

Project Description

The project will consist of removing dirt form the lake bed and dressing the banks using
excavating equipment. There is a 16 acre pasture field on the east side of the lake where
the dirt will be piled. Pumping water will be necessary. The pumping process was
started in late October. Some rip-raffing of the banks will be done in the initial stages of
the project. The balance of the rip-raffing will be completed over a period of time.

5
