<br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />7 presents details of the water utility's fmancial structure, Chapter 8 combines the fmdings of the <br />evaluations and presents alternatives and recommendations for the entire water system. <br /> <br />2.2 Population Served and Population Projection <br /> <br />The Town utility systems currently serve an estimated population of 1450, Growth by annexation <br />is limited on the north, west, and south through land use policies instituted by Boulder County, <br />These lands are either designated as open space or owned by mineral extraction interests, Land <br />acquisition to the east and infill of land already annexed remain viable possibilities for increases <br />in water demand, Potential for growth is primarily in: <br /> <br />Russell Subdivision <br />Lyons Valley Park Subdivision <br />Eagle Canyon Subdivision <br />Stone Canyon Subdivision <br /> <br />The Town Utility Department estimates the potential total population in the expanded service area <br />to be 3000 at build-out. Assessments and recommendations in this report will be based upon <br />service requirements of 3000 build-out/1450 existing, or 207 percent of current water demand, <br />and allow for the geographic distribution of the demand consistent with the above-mentioned <br />subdivisions, For the purposes of timing of some of the water system improvements, a population <br />projection is often helpful.
