<br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />Social and Physical Impacts <br /> <br />The primary social impact of the project will be to help maintain a long-standing Colorado <br />family ranch as a viable and profitable ranch. The primary ph.rsical impact of the project \\ill be <br />to preserve a significant amount of open space in Garfield County. Colorado as agricultufalland. <br /> <br />Conclusions <br /> <br />1. Bill and Banon Porter have the ability to enter into a contract with the CWCB for the <br />purpose of obtaining a Construction Fund Loan. <br /> <br />2. Rights-of-wa)' and easements are adequate for the construction of this project. <br /> <br />3. The project will enable Bill and Banon Porter to store more oftheif adjudicated water right <br />within Colorado. Specifically, the project is projected to increase storage capacity from 22% <br />10 100% of their [otal existing and conditional storage right. <br /> <br />4. The project would enhance the ability of Bill and Barton Poner to deliver irrigation water for <br />the purposes of expanding local agriculture and cattle ranching. <br /> <br />5. The- toral eSlimated cost of the project is $2 million and will be partially financed by Bill and <br />Barton Porter. Bill and Barton Porter are jointly applying for a Slmillion loan from the <br />CWCB Construclion Fund to Cover the remainder of the estimated project costs. <br /> <br />6.
