Project Map. The project map Is Included herein shows the North poudre <br />system Including the proposed project, nearby towns, and the general land area <br />served by North Poudre. The area served by North poudre Reservoirs No. 5 & 6 <br />Is shown shaded and Includes only 640 acres of land. Of the 640 acres, 320 <br />acres Is covered by the Anheuser-Busch plant. The two reservoirs could service <br />approximately 10,000 acres of agricultural production but the bulk of the area <br />below the two reservoirs Is served by the Water Supply and Storage Company. <br /> <br />B. Location. Reservoir No. 5 Is locatell In Sections 5 and 6, Township 8 North, <br />Range 68 West, and In Sections 31 and 32, Township 9 North, Range 68 West of <br />the 6th P.M., Larimer County, Colorado. Reservoir No. 6 Is located In Sections 5, <br />6, 7, and 8, Township 8 North, Range 68 West of the 6th P.M., Larimer County, <br />Colorado. Access to the project site Is via Colorado State Highway I. <br /> <br />The nearest town Is Wellington, Colorado located approximately 0.5 miles <br />east and 2.5 miles north of the reserVl)lr dam. The nearest city Is Fort Collins <br />located approximately 6 miles south and 3 miles west of the site. <br /> <br />The elevation of the site Is apprl)xlmately 5160 feet (USGS). Refer to the <br />Drainage Basin Map In Appendix C for the site location specifics and elevations. <br /> <br />C. Climate. The following tables Show the average monthly temperatures, <br />maximum and minimum temperatures Of record, average monthly precipitation, <br />snowfall, Information on hall, and various other statistics concerning the weather <br />near the project site. Tables 1-1 and 1-2 were supplied by the Colorado Climate <br />Center, Colorado State University, Department of Atmospheric Sciences, Fort <br />Collins, Colorado, 303-491-8545. The Information provided Is from their weather <br />substation No. 4 which Is near Fort Collins and Is the closest station to <br />Reservoir No.6 and 6.
