SUMMARY OF PROPOSED PROJECT <br />CONSOLIDATED MiJTUAL WATER COMPANY <br />FORTUNE RESERVOIR <br />Proiect Snonsor: Consolidated Mutual Water Company <br />Type of Project: Municipal — new raw water reservoir <br />Location: About'/z mile northwest of the intersection of Highway 72 and Indiana Street <br />on a dry tributary of Big Dry Creek in the City of Arvada, Jefferson County as shown on <br />the attached map. <br />Date of Application: December 22, 1998 <br />Feasibilitv Studv: First draft received December 22, 1998 <br />Proiect Description: The project involves the construction of a 9,000 acre-foot reservoir <br />with a 105 foot-high, zoned eazth embankment; an emergency spillway capable of <br />passing the Probable Maximum Flood; and a 30-inch diameter inlet/outlet pipeline. The <br />reservoir will be hydraulically connected with the rest of the Company's Maple Grove <br />raw water system through 5'/z miles of new pipeline. Geotechnical and hydrologic <br />investigations as well as final project design have been completed. The State Engineers <br />Office is currently reviewing the design documents. <br />Estimated Proiect Cost: $21,585,000 <br />Requested Loan: $10,000,000 (about 50 percent of total project costs) <br />Aerial Photo of Fortune Reservoir Site <br />
