The dam is approximately 800 feet in length, has approximately 2-1/2 to I
upstream slopes and 3 to I downstream slopes, a crest width of approximately 45 feet, and a
maximum structural height of approximately 28 feet. The outlet works consist of a 3~-inch
diameter concrete pipe, a concrete gate tower, and a vault with a pump and plug valve that feed
water to a concrete ditch that runs along the downstream crest of the dam. Figure 2 shows
photographs of the dam and outlet works.

The reservoir also has a saddle dam on the north east side of the reservoir. This dam is only 5
feet in height, has 3 to I slopes, a crest width of approximately 20 feet, and is approximately
1,000 feet in length. The top of this dam is lower than the main dam ranging from 0,5 feet to ),5
feet lower in elevation,

Woods Lake Feasibility

Page I
